Male is perfectly fine it is the hair length which is important - stear away from long haired hamsters a first pet

I'd wait till Dave is fully trained and you have got your set up right for you before embarking on anymore nooboo!!!! Each extra means more expense, space and care time.

Hammy has arrived.... awwwwwwww so sweet, my lad fell in love with this one.. and so did I awwww he looks like a little bear.
Have taken a photograph but it's not very good taken with mobile, and through the plastic cage top...
I don't know how to post it on here, but I have the link ...
He had a good wander round his house, loved going through the tube I put in, had something to eat, then went in his bed.. we sat and waited, but nope his not letting us look at him again, so we have left him to settle.
I will try and get a much better photograph soon. I did not want to use my other camera as it has a flash, I thought it might scare him, so we used the mobile

Aww don't worry about that it is normal and the design of the Rody Savic Duna means you wont get a peek for a few days probably as he will wait until it is very dark and quiet before sneeking out for a drink and some food. Leave him in his cage until Sunday with the only interference being to put fresh food and water in daily. Frustrating I can bet for you and your son. But you can think up names in the meantime
