Re: 31 Days of October
What a great intro to hammies! Pipsy was a wonderful ambassador for her species. I am looking forward to the month's pics of your lovely hams.

It certainly was, DrKMcK and Pipsy fulfilled her role perfectly. The girls and I will do our best to keep you coming back for more throughout the month.

Re: 31 Days of October
It's day 3 of the month and it's the turn of Rue to have her story told. Picking up from where I left the story yesterday, I still had Pipsy when I brought Bracken home but just a few weeks later Pipsy and her owner, who had been with staying with me too, went back home. So it was just Bracken and me.
In the first few days of having Bracken, I didn't think that I could have more than one fluff, didn't think there was enough room in my heart for another but how silly was I for thinking that?
After a few days of it being just the two of us, the evenings seemed a little quieter for not having Pipsy here any more, so I browsed through Gumtree and there was a female dwarf who needed a new home. Everything seemed set for me to collect this little girl but then the original owner stopped communicating with me and to this day, I do not know what happened to the hamster.
Of course, I was left feeling just a little deflated, having looked forward to taking in the little one, so I did the worse thing, I went to P@H!!
There she was, sitting in the adoption area, my gorgeous Rue...I was defenseless to resist, within a short space of time, she was in the car with me and we were heading home.

Re: 31 Days of October
I know exactly what you mean about thinking there's only room in our hearts for one ham, was that way once upon a time but they soon teach us differently don't they!
When you have your heart set on a ham & it somehow goes wrong I always think it's a sign that the right one for you is just waiting for you somewhere else & little Rue certainly was!
She really is such a beautiful girl, quite the little poser in the last photo, funny too lol! I love the tube shot

I agree totally, cypher and it soon proved right again but you'll have to wait a bit longer for the next part of the story.
I will pass on to Rue your lovely compliments. She was out a little while ago but she's tucked up in bed again now, conserving her energy for more cuddles later.

Thanks souffle, I am glad that you and others are enjoying the girls' stories. It's lovely to finally be able to share it with you. I can promise plenty more pictures of all the girls and perhaps a couple of Henry too will sneak in.
