Default He's started biting if he doesn't get his own way.

I don't know how else to word the title as it's the only way I can think to explain it. So me and my Chinese Hamster Tyrion usually play on my bed and he loves running around but whenever I try to stop him going to a certain way, for example to stop him falling off the bed, he bites me. And it's really starting to put me off handling him because he's recently started doing it when being handled too...I don't know what I'm really asking but...Is there anything I can do to stop this?

Saying he wants his own way is attributing too much human-ness to it. Maybe think of it like your hand gets in the way, he tries to chews it the same way he would say a piece of wood that he found in his way and wanted to get through, your hands get in the way an awful lot, he now recognises your hands as an obstacle to be chewed through...

Is there any way you can take your hands out of the equation when it comes to stopping him, e.g. Securely fence off somewhere else so you don't have to stop him with your hands?

Nibble would nip (not bite, it's v gentle) if I kept holding him when he wanted to get down and explore, I've hamster proofed my hallway now so he runs around there and I never have to use my hands to stop him going anywhere as there's no dangers. His relationship with my hands is much improved,

Ooooh my friend had this a while back with her well named hammy "nibbles" and I agree with Bertie your hand is just showing up in the way a lot so he will think of it as a nuisance or an obstacle so it would make since for him to bite at it.
To stop nibbles we put up bits of wood as barriers to where we did not want him to go and she started using handling gloves, after a while he seemed to realise that biting the hand now did not make it move and after a week or two she could slowly take them off.
