Away for a few days
Sunday I'm going to visit some friends while my OH goes to training, he would be away for four days. In the meantime all my hammies are going to be moved to my OH's sister's place, she said she will feel better if she could keep a good watch on them.
They are all pretty relaxed about changes and considering Yummy is the one who needs the most attention, this is somewhat ideal and I don't think they will get too stressed out. Hopefully. I will miss their furry faces.

Re: Away for a few days
A wee holiday for your Fab 4 hammies! That's good that your OH's sister is going to look after them. Does she live near you?
Twinkle did tell me earlier that Yummy was having a few days away lol!
Enjoy your time away at your friends. You'll no doubt get a warm welcome when you return.

Re: Away for a few days
I'm sure that they'll have a lovely time, it's great that the hams will have someone around to spend time with whilst you and your OH are away. Have a lovely time with friends and I hope the training goes well for you OH.

That's really nice and you are lucky to have someone who will take them for you. Hammies can do well on vacations. Hope they prove me right. Enjoy!

Fingers crossed they have a good time away just as much as I will We're very lucky his sister can take them, or I'd have stayed home with them.

I hope so and we are lucky to have his sister I will have a great time, and I hope my OH enjoys his training lol I've put labels on the bin cages with extra notes for her, so she knows who is who and who needs what. I found out recently that giving Tank extra protein like mealworms and chicken, is what sets off his stomach. Poor thing can only have the regular amount found in his normal food, and veggies.

She has pets of her own like fish, birds, a cat and a dog, she used to keep rats. His sister also has two young boys so it is really good she can take on my four hamsters for the week, they will be kept upstairs where the cat and dog aren't allowed to go. She lives about 25 minutes away so its not a long journey for them, and she said she will feel better if she took them all. I won't be back until friday morning, really appreciate she's looking after my babies.

Re: Away for a few days
Aww poor Tank, so that problem he had with his poo, was it because of 2 much protein?
Your OH's sister sure loves animals, I bet you're glad Yummy's in the cage and not the bin cage!

Re: Away for a few days
I found he got the same problem when he was fed meal worms or any other extra protein source, I've had to stop feeding him that extra altogether and he only gets what is in his normal food.
Yep I'm gland that she's in a cage, hopefully no escapes while I'm away from home.
