Smile Dove-banded syrian hamsters

I saw a dove banded syrian hamster online and I cannot believe how cute they are!!!!! But,are they rare to find at a breeder or pet shop? Please answer.

I wouldn't say they're rare but I don't know any breeders that specialise in Dove Hamsters. I've seen them at pet shops a couple of times. It might be a good idea to look around at various pet shops but it's always a great idea to adopt hamsters because they're the ones needing homes the most because they're usually there for a long time with no quality of life. Although every hamster needs a loving home

I hate that. Just knowing and oftentimes seeing them caged in. However sometimes they appear more content but just bored in the stores. Yours and mine are similar as per your picture. Golden Syrian. Mines a he not a she. I guess hence the name yours is female.

Dove is not rare, and the Band pattern is dominant so if you can't find them it is because the breeders just aren't focusing on the Dove color gene. Most red eyed colors don't sell as well as black eyed colors so some pet stores request the distributor refrain from sending red eyed hamsters.
