Default Going away for almost a week...

I'll be away from this Sunday to Friday and although I have someone to look after my animals, I'll worry about them!
Especially Flump my hammie... She's come so so far with taming and is so so good to hold, and i'm worried that almost a week without any handling will make her nervous and jumpy.
My dad is going to be looking after all my animals and he won't handle any of them!
Do you think i'll come home to a nervous and skittish hammie?

It should be fine. I looked after my daughter's 2 for nearly 10 days this summer. The robo was a watch only ham for me. I intended handling the Syrian but he didn't want to know. They came to my house so all noises and smells were different. As soon as she came to pick them up they were both woken up and clearly pleased to see her and I finally got to play with Jarvis! I think my ham (cousin to Jarvis) was aware of the visitors though.

I had to leave my little Poppy (RIP) for two weeks. She was staying with a friend for that period. When we picked her up and brought her home she was a bit shy for the first couple of hours, but when she realised she was home - she was up all DAY wanting cuddles and playtime. Your little one will be okay - when you are back after a week - keep talking to her before handling her. She will reconnect with you.

Okay hearing all this makes me feel a bit better about leaving her behind
I feel so bad though because she wont be able to come out of her cage at all and she loves coming out for playtime! Luckily she has a large cage with loads of enrichment, so that makes up for it a bit I geuss...
