I think that Zak is a girl....he/she has the similar holes in the belly that my hammy has, and she's a girl. It is confusing though!

Zak is female as you can see the nipples and there is no obvious scent gland. Males scent glands are very obvious and some times they excrete their scent so much they actually build up a waxy like crust on the edge which may need a bit of gentle ear bud cleaning.

I heard that the testicles should be visible with a bit of gentle feeling of their bottom. Now I am not sure how young they start to show.

When fudge wakes up, his testicles are showing for a couple of minutes-thats how i found out! I always thought males had what i call 'a lump on his bum'  they don't have flat bums do they lol
