What hay is safe for hamsters?
Hello,
I am just wondering which hay is safe for hamsters to use as a nest?

I know people who use Timothy and orchard hay but personally I don't.

Yeah I wouldn't either, for a nest use shredded toilet paper, my hamsters love it! Hope this helps

I've used hay for hamsters before (meadow hay), and they aren't that fussed. Originally I thought some may like nesting in it, which some did, but others didn't.
There is also the factor of some people having issues with hay, and it giving hamsters hay mites.
