Hamsters are omnivores so they can eat meat, though I'd stay away from anything really fatty.

I've given my hamsters plain, cooked chicken breast before and they loved it. Most hamsters will also enjoy eating insects, both are good ways to add protein and variety to their diet.

Freeze dried, canned or live (you need to kill them first) mealworms, crickets & silkworm pupa are fine & enjoyed by most!

Yes their natural diet would include insects.

I got a protein booster pot by Mücki from zooplus that had dried shrimps, mealworms and crickets. It was quite cheap and although my Syrian didn't really like it, its worth trying out. I feed plain cooked chicken and very rarely some tuna in spring water which goes down much better.

Rupert and Joey like plain cooked chicken or turkey, they've had plain beef a couple of times too but I mainly keep them to white meat.

They have dog biscuits/kibble too which contain meat, and yesterday I brought them a packet of Naturals Cricket Cocktail which are dried mealworms, shrimp and silkworms, so it'll be interesting to see what they think of those!

Yes, though preferably it should be lean. When roasting lean cuts of turkey and chicken, I'll offer some to the hamsters before seasoning, as they are seem universally liked.
