Default Insomnia and hamster shopping!

Does anyone else find themselves up in the middle of the night shopping for hamster accessories? I can't sleep and was fooling around online. I ended up ordering the Carolina Storm Express wheel for Nigel's new cage. What's another $30??!!?

This is the story of my life!! Far too much of my pay gets spent on hamster toys. Actually all the pets but especially the hams! You'd think by now I'd've given up seeing as cardboard is the preferred "toy" of choice but no...I'm an expert at justifying every order/purchase I make - anyone else do that too?

I do this a lot!
I find myself going out into shops in the day and literally, for no reason hunting down the small animal sections, I will also go out of my way to go into a pet shop when I'm out and about, and then as soon as I'm home, if I've seen something in the shop I'd like but didn't get for whatever reason.. Or sometimes even if I didn't find anything, (I saw a stone & straw hut in a shop yesterday, but it looked really badly made) so I spent most of my night hunting one down on the internet, window shopping online for a Hamster is therapeutic and it also cures the bordem from insomnia, but I also find it fun, there's always something new to find apparently.
The best part is always having a reason when my friend comes over and says "what's the point of *insert new thing purchased here* then?".
I'm brilliant at justifying buying anything!

Lol! I ordered Charlie's cork wheel in the middle of the night too. Just be careful as all the $30 start adding up! I think once it's set up though, you stop doing that so much. I didn't buy anything for ages until Charlie's wheel broke - then I ordered four lol! Only kept 2 though.

Haha Gemma, I do that too. I justify going into the pet shops after work "to allow the traffic to clear up!" I genuinely think I have a problem. It's not even specifically hamster targeted products either, I literally can find myself in any shop and will think, "oh I could convert that and use that for the hamsters or the rabbits." It's so bad, my OH will watch me and then say, "c'mon, what're the plans and who's getting it?" It's a genuine problem. @Serendipity: my bank balance keeps waiting for that to happen but they hams have been set up for months now and it's still happening. Love that you bought four wheels xo

I should point out that traffic in the highlands is 5 cars trailing behind a tractor!
