hi im getting my very first robo on weekend im super excited about it especially after snuffle passing away :'( im going to be givving my robo a sand bath and im wondering if this san will be okay once i have sanitized it but im so excited for this i cant wait! Playsand

Play sand is fine but I think you just need to dry it out in the oven before using.

Robos are the most adorable of tiny hammies. And they certainly do love a good roll around in the old sand bath! Can't wait to see your new pet after you get it!

Sand is a pain in this house though. I am 'washing' my sand right now lol. It's basically in loads of water with disinfectant (pet safe, of course). My dad doesn't want me to bake it. Aparently, though, it contains loads of chemicals. It is kid's play sand from B&Q.

It's awesome when you are days away from getting a brand new fluff, isn't it?

Remember to allow him/her to settle in. Robos are very fast and don`t like lots of handling. Sand is okay but it can dry the skin. I never use it personally. If play sand needs drying before using it, choose Charlie chinchilla sand as it comes in cartons ready to use. Have you had a roborovski before? x
