Loose bin cage lid??
As I said earlier, my bin cages are finished and I'm proud of them but I'm kinda nervous that Cookie will manage to pop the lid off the top. In the cage he has a wooden log cabin hut thing (don't know the name or brand oops) and he likes to climb on top of it but when he does, his head is fairly close to the lid. Today he pushed his head against it and the lid jumped and I thought it was going to fall off so I pressed against it so it wouldn't. The sides of the lid does secure onto the actual bin but I think it's quite loose and Cookie will somehow escape by pressing against the lid. Is there a way that I can secure it even more? I can't think of anything at the moment thanks!

Re: Loose bin cage lid??
I can only thing of something like bungee ties but I'm sure there's something better than that.

Re: Loose bin cage lid??
Binder clips may help, the big ones though not the small ones. I use them to secure the lid of my Hamster's Ikea Samla bin cage and they work quite well for me.

Re: Loose bin cage lid??
Do you mean like large bulldog clips? These are what I mean by bungee clips - just wrap them round the whole cage top to bottom and fasten them (they stretch). Or Tie a piece of string round temporarily (as it it was a parcel!).

Re: Loose bin cage lid??
You can get clips made for the samla, not sure if they fit all bins. Is the lid meshed or can you just weigh it down a lot?

Re: Loose bin cage lid??
Drill holes in the lid and sides of his cage so you can fit in padlocks.
