Food Haul!
I had to leap over the massive box in my doorway yesterday evening when I got home - the hamster food had arrived! I was getting to the bottom of the bin of pre-mixed food so it was a relief to find the 30kg of museli plus 1.5kg of dog biccies. Today I popped into my favourite local pet shop and got some new food for Rogue as well as the treats he persuaded me into.
Since everyone loves a haul photo...

Re: Food Haul!
Wow. I think that's the biggest bag of hamster food I have ever seen!! How long does one usually last you?

Re: Food Haul!
There are two 15kg bags in that photo
I just looked and my last order for 2 bags was in February, but I also get the 12.5kg bags of Harry Hamster when I can and have had at least one bag in that time too.
Rogue does like a bit of hamster food, which is why there's a baby gate on the hamster room door. When it's open he'll go round hoovering up all the bits the hamsters have kicked out of their cages!

Re: Food Haul!
That's a heap of food, although you do have a lot of little mouths to feed . I didn't even notice it was two bags!! I think I know a hamster or two who wouldn't mind livng inside one of them .

Wow, that's a lot of food.
I don't think I've ever seen a bag that big of hamster food, although with so many hamsters to feed, I can imagine you get through it.
Aaaw look at little Rogue having a sniff around too. Bless him.

Re: Food Haul!
It seems kind of funny, seeing a dog being dwarfed by a bag of hamster food! I bet Rogue is looking forward to tucking into his treats.

Re: Food Haul!
Thats the exact food we've just got in to try, picked it up from the Yodel depot this afternoon The bloke commented on it being heavy so I said it was 15kg of pet food... He asked if it was for a dog, looked a bit surprised when I said gerbils (Although the hams may well get some too)
I do love how your pet food completely dwarfs your dog lol

Re: Food Haul!
I did enjoy the combination of big bag of hamster food and tiny dog too (though the tiny dog's food is currently taking up two of the three drawers in my freezer!)
I've recently got a bin to keep my mixed up hamster food which is 30L. It's sold as a kitchen waste bin, but is ideal.
