Default Do you think this is fishy?

Hi,

I recently came across what appears to be a genuine ad about a litter of hamsters for sale (they're above 8 weeks) and I noticed the seller stated he/she was willing to deliver if you lived within the city. I am fully aware of the shifty reasons why some people deliver animals which is pretty concerning. The seller came across as a breeder, I then thought to myself breeders don't deliver and I am having to fight myself to not contact he/she so I can take the litter of hamsters.

Are they Syrians or dwarfs? Do you have concerns for the welfare of the hamsters or do you really want several new pets? If you are concerned, perhaps a call to your local human society would be a better choice? When you say that the seller "comes across as a breeder", do you mean someone who deliberately put a male and female together with the intention of producing pups? Or do you mean someone who doesn't have 2 brain cells to rub together and just doesn't "get" that having a male and female together will land them with another litter? If you'd like a second opinion feel free to pm me the ad or ad link

They are Syrian hamsters. I do have a few concerns for their welfare, BrainGirl. They're kept in a small storage box all together from what I can workout from the photos since the seller has made it difficult to view the actual enclosure/set up and their feet appear to be pretty red with quite a few lumps and bumps.

When I said breeder, I meant somebody who gives off the impression they are when in actual fact they don't have a clue what they are doing and have decided to play the 'guessing game'. There are some rex's, long haired and short haired Syrian's within the said litter and the seller has got them completely wrong because he/she thinks they are short haired and long haired including their coloring/markings.

I am not going to reveal the link since it will identify the persons gender, the area they are currently based in, their name and their mobile number. The last thing I want is to be banned from this site.

No no, I don't want to get you banned! That's why I suggested pm'ing me the information. Even just copy paste the body of the ad, minus all the details of the seller
