Question Pets at Home: Paper Wool?

Safebed Paper Wool | Pets At Home

I have been contemplating getting this as His Royal Fluffiness seems to use a crazy amount of tissue paper for his bedding and I thought he might prefer something a bit cozier for nesting material. Does anyone know for certain if this stuff is actually safe though? The combination of the words 'paper' and 'wool' make me wonder, plus I don't have a lot of faith in Pets at Home products.

I've used it alot with no problems. It's just like a tougher tissue really, if you put a piece in water it disintegrates, so I heard that's a sign its safe.

I use something similar. Another brand but the same name. My hamster loves it and it's nothing but very thin paper strips that tear quite easily so no danger there

I've read something on the internet about this particular nesting material (cannot remember where) that stated paper wool is very much like fluffy bedding but in paper form and looks like cotton wool once shredded.

Thanks for the replies everyone! To be honest if it dissolves in water I'm satisfied that it's safe and not going to cause any internal blockages. Is is really cozy though or not much different than tissue paper?

It`s safe Ruby, I`ve used this. I would remove it from the bag and take scissors to it though and roughly chop it up as this helps to break up the long strands. But it`s a nice enough bedding. I use plain cheap white toilet paper these days! Dose the same job. x

I'll try a bag then and see if my fuss pot likes it
