Re: Agent Spectacles Thread
Hello All
The good news is it's time for the latest episode of Agent Spectacles! You can see him in his June Tank Tour by clicking the link below.
The bad news is I will be starting and 8 week summer placement next Monday, and although I am very excited this means it will likely be the last video for a while. I will still be recording as much as possible, but I don't know how much time I will have for editing until after my placement ends. But his antics will be uploaded eventually one way or another
Enjoy!!

Re: Agent Spectacles Thread
Hi Erestor, I read this thread a while a go and thought I should really reply and say thanks for sharing Agent Spectacles story! Like FluffyDD said this is a lovely story and he is lucky to have found such a wonderful home!! I also have a very nervous hamster (a little winter white hybrid) so I've been thinking about making a similar platform for her to come out because she's not keen on being handled either.
Good luck on your summer placement, I look forward to hearing/ watching more of your little guy's antics

Re: Agent Spectacles Thread
Just caught up with this. He is absolutely gorgeous, adorable and beautiful and he looks really big! What does he weigh? He looks about the same size as Charlie (if not chunkier) who weights 220g. I really like the detolf set up (I'm envious!) and it's lovely that he is tame now. I'm always cautious even now about holding Charlie using two hands, just in case he decides to suddenly jump from a height, so that would be my only caution - watching out for heights out of the cage - they do suddenly just do lemming like things sometimes!

Thank you, I hope the videos help show you a few different ideas for the shelves, they really have made a big difference for Specs ability to get the attention he wants! And because I don't need to lift him as he will come out himself, he is much less nervous when I do have to pick him up

He does have beautiful fur up close too, and soft unlike anything else I have ever felt! Although he looks massive he is actually not as big as he looks( although fairly big compared to your average hamster size!) at his last weigh in he was 180g, but it's pretty well distributed around his whole body.
He is normally pretty good, not nearly as crazy as penguin was, who's sole duty seemed to be to jump off everything possible. Maybe because he is shy he is much more reserved, and will think carefully about if it is safe to climb down!
The detolf is the best money I ever spent, I'm just really lucky that I have space to keep it. It's really fun to redesign too, although it normally takes me hours and leaves me aching! And since I don't want to wake him I don't normally start until he is up so he isn't being bothered in bed.
