Which way does your hamster run in wheel?

Lord Hammy generally wheels looking towards us (so clockwise as we look at him), and Lady Cheese always goes clockwise on her flying saucer.

Syrup tends to run to the left, every so often he'll run right, stop and look a bit confused, then turn around and run to the left.

Snowe tends to run either way.

I've noticed now that Sherlocks got the hang of his wheel he tends to go anti-clockwise!

Lol I'm getting confused now as to whether the ham is going anticlockwise or the wheel is. Charlie's wheel goes anticlockwise when he runs it. I'm wondering if it's to do with him pointing towards the outside of the cage and whether if I moved it to a different position he might run the other way if it pointed outside of the cage. But maybe not as some peoples' hams run both ways.

I wonder if there is a male/female difference too. I won't move his wheel though as it will upset him (not that he has a wheel at the moment - still waiting for it - just the flying saucer and I still haven't seen him run on that as I'm asleep at night! Although I did dream I saw him running on it last night lol! and he was running so it span clockwise in my dream!)

Baklava runs in either direction, but I think she may prefer going left (looking at the wheel from the front).
So the wheel turns counterclockwise and she's running away from the front of the cage.

Lol! Yes I know! I still haven't seen Charlie running on the Flying Saucer -only in a dream! I'm not actually sure he has worked it out. Last night I put him on it when I put him back in the cage and he didn't seem to know what to do. I tried turning it a bit to show him and he didn't like that and was trying to stay in one place. Maybe he's just been sitting on it. Wheel should be here any day now.

Taz runs only to the left.

Ollie runs going only to the left.

The others I haven't watched closely enough to know.
