Default Uh- oh..

So saturday morning around 1 am i was browsing around facebook, and i was on the classifieds of my town.

And mind you I have 3 hamsters already.

I saw this post.

¨2 baby teddy bear hamsters, theyre sisters, 10$¨

and in a picture i could see a little blood on one of them, the smaller one, and i HAD to help them. I messaged the girl and asked about them, and she said they were being housed together, and they were starting to attack each other.
So me being me i had to help them, i drove to her house the next day and picked them up.

They are two syrians, one long haired, one short, im guessing about 2 years old, im surprised theyre both still alive. I dont think their bedding got changed for several months, it was utterly disgusting, one metal wheel, and a 288sq in. bin cage. I got them home and separated them immediately, they both seem like lovely hamsters and seem quite friendly.. but the real kicker to this story is i havent told my dad yet. Oops. Honestly i dont think i could have lived with myself knowing they would not be separated and i didnt intervene..

Well done on saving them, I'm surprised both of them are still alive too after being housed together. Sure you won't have any problem convincing your dad you can keep them

Just because they are larger doesn't mean they are older, they may just be larger Syrian hamsters. If I were you, given that they are babies, I'd watch to make sure neither are pregnant as you don't know if she was keeping males with them and re-homed them too.

Hamsters generally stop growing at around 6 months or so, past that age size is completely unrelated to age apart from older hams sometimes losing weight with age.

Have you got permission for them yet?

That's a good deed Taylor! Poor little ladies! If they're only "starting" to attack eachother it could be that they're quite young but that could be a lie or they could be very chill girls so yeah, who knows what age they are *shrug*

You could try and rehome them yourself now they're in better shape, you'd be much better qualified to find a nice home for them than the moron on your facebook!
