Default They're home :) Please welcome. .

Lady wanted them gone asap because Milo was already following her tort female around. She definately did not separate into same sex groups! All apart from the one she is keeping have already gone home, they are 4 weeks old.

I was planning on keeping these 2 together until 6 weeks as was told they were both boys....They're not!!

So please meet Milo. He was pure white but head looks more Ivory

......and Miley. Fairly certain she is longhair although unsure on colour

They look so little... Have they got wheels already?

They're about the size of a Russian at the moment, but yes very small.

Should they not have wheels?

Milo has a 6.5" flying saucer and Miley has 8" trixie and has been on hers loads xxx

I wouldn't give them wheels at that age no, most tend to wait until at least 6-10 weeks before giving wheels so that the hams don't overuse them and basically use their energy to run instead of grow. I know some who wait even longer than 10 weeks to give pups wheels

They are adorable, I'd just not let them have the wheels at the moment

Really?? My hamster Baklava just turned 7 weeks old yesterday (in my guesstimation) and has been using her wheel since I got her last week.... I'm afraid without it she'll get bored and get into the habit of bar-chewing.

Really. Its a matter of personal opinion but generally it does seem that the later a ham gets a wheel the bigger they're likely to get (up to a point). Young hams've been known to run themselves to exhaustion too

Oh dear, I'd never heard that before. Suppose I'll have a hard think about removing the wheel tonight.

Congrats on your two new babies, they are so sweet.
I know from your other post they had to leave a bit too soon but I hope they settle in quickly & do really well with you.
