A pretty one she is indeed. Hard to see on her pics but I think she may be a Heterozygous Silver gray and in some photos she looks possibly Tort (Tort patches on silver gray end up a like soft creamy Yellow color) especially if she carries for cream removing the black ticking in the yellow patches.

She seems very happy in coming home with you.

Thank you Nancy. If I can get her to sit still I could get better pictures, I would love to know for sure what colour she is xD She's got a lot more space now that we got the bin cages done, she was in the Ferplast duna fun to start with as she tried to escape her first temperary home.

Yummy isn't as skittish now as she's getting used to us, though sometimes she still rolls on to her back when I go to scoop her up. She is very happy but still destructive, she will chew everything. She chews on the mesh after climbing up on it too, worried she might chew her way out of it. Give her seed chews, dog chews, toilet rolls, now part of a cereal box, still wants to chew on the mesh. xD Yummy is trouble.

She even tries to chew her ball every time she stops at a wall. Chew all the things. Tried to get better shots of her.

Why do pet shops put hamsters in a thin card paper box?

So they can chew out and be loose in your automobile.

That's why Nancy has a critter keeper in her car at all times LOL

We should have bought a new carrier before we left. Yummy is destructive despite having distractions, she also demands more attention than our dwarves. I think she is hyper active lol, she's often up and awake early evening to late morning.

Verdict on colour? Or more pictures? Lol

There was a newspaper article a while back about a woman who bought a hamster and it ate through the box while she was driving, anyway the hamster ended up doing damage to the car and it cost a small fortune to repair the damage. That's one expensive hammie!

Well with the last photo the patches LOOK more Tort like but are really really light(Compare her patches to this lovely pup I was to get from Winterbell Hamstery in at that time Tennessee) She was only 4 weeks old in this collage of photos sent to me to keep me drooling for my little silver Gray tort girly.
Krista resized.jpg

Note how her Tort patches are almost a Blond coloring as would occur when Yellow Carrying Cream would turn into.

Now IF Yummy happens to be Heterozygous Extreme Dilute and carry Cream and be Tort(as her manners sure do indicate she is) THEN it would explain how her tort patches look almost and Off White instead of and off cream color. The ED gene turns both Yellow and cream white and turns Golden to a gray tone which looks a lot like a Light gray coloring. So she could be a Heterozygous ED Golden Tort.

However it is interesting to see the lighter patches are also only around her middle where a Band pattern would be. Since I did little work with Silver gray and never had any Silver gray Torts in hand, and have only had ED Black Torts I will have to say she can be either Sg Tort or Hetero ED Golden Tort, or a very odd Sg Banded

Luckily Thin Lizzy I'm not the one driving and was the one holding the box so I could put her right back in it. xD

Nancy that all sounds complicated and that pup is gorgeous. Yummy needs so much more attention than the dwarves, when we don't keep an eye on her or we go to sleep we put clips on the bin cage lid to keep her from escaping. Neither of us trust her without those clips xD
