Hamster Cruelty on Television
I was watching a new episode of Supernatural, a show I have been planning to stop watching due to its declining plot line. However today, I have officially stopped after they had a hamster in their new episode. In the new episode, they had a short haired Syrian running on a mesh wheel, in a cage too small, wearing a necklace, with not enough bedding, and no food in sight. Not to mention they probably disturbed its sleep schedule in order to film. I'm really hoping the hamster wasn't really wearing a necklace and it was computer generated however, it doesn't excuse the rest of the conditions.
P.S. the episode was titled "Paint it Black"

Re: Hamster Cruelty on Television
I stopped watching it a while back, during season 6, it got very repetitive,
It annoys me when I hear programmes showing lack of animal care.

That's terrible AA. Was it a new episode? Consider writing a complaint letter and cc'ing animal groups like the humane society. You never know something like that might get attention.

Yes, it's from season 9! I just know as I see it advertised.

I honestly don't know how to go about writing a formal complaint or how to get the humane society involved.

Re: Hamster Cruelty on Television
AA write from the heart don't worry about formal.Describe what you saw and why it's wrong. Tell them it upset you and you are no longer watching the show because of it and neither are your friends. They are in business to make money from advertising so that's important. Keep it short and direct and professional. Look up addresses of the people/companies who are involved in the show, and the humane society and make copies and send it to them. I would put my name and return address on it but that's your call. nothing to it.
