This is probably quite weird but...
Does anyone else just love the way little animals smell?
I mean the animal itself not the cage. I used to love sniffing my rats, they smelt lovely, and I've noticed little Vince does too!
I understand this probably makes me a bit of a weirdo lol! My ex used to think I was nuts if he caught me sniffing my rats!

I also love the way my hammies smell, especially after I've done a cage clean. I love their warm little tummies.

Re: This is probably quite weird but...
I've never noticed a smell coming from my hams, but I have never stuck my nose on them either, my lot would probably bite it and I prefer to keep my nose but I maybe need to try it now
My parrots smell heavenly sort of like a lovely scented talcum powder, I sniff them all day

Archie loves it when I smell him lol! I'm sure he's got some hamster pampering products stashed away lol!
The only time I don't enjoy Twinkle's smell is when she's in heat. Not everytime but there's been a few heat days where she smells fishy or sometimes a corn beef smell. Believe me, it's not nice lol!

Re: This is probably quite weird but...
I think spike smells a bit like sandalwood! I love it and always get a good sniff when I give him kisses which is why I always get a bit annoyed when people say hamsters are dirty smelly animals. I've never noticed much of a smell from his cage either, his litter box does get a stronger smell near the end of the week but the smell isn't strong or bad at all especially if u compare it to something like a cat litter tray. So basically if you're weird the rest of us are too!

Ooh Willow you've got parrots! I've always wanted a parrot. Prob not a good idea as I'm allergic to feathers. Do yours talk?
