Tips for taking pictures?
I reeeeally want to get some good photos of my hamsters, 99% of mine come out pretty much like the ones I've attached (and the dog one proves it's not just hamsters I seem to be rubbish at photographing..!). My method is pretty much just repeatedly press the button on my phone hoping one will turn out ok, but it's not really working out for me!

Re: Tips for taking pictures?
With Honey I just took pictures until I got a good one.
Patience and persistence seem to be key in taking pictures with animals.
(I've also noticed bribery works)
The first one is very cute. It reminds me of a mole creature :P

Re: Tips for taking pictures?
I really like the first one too!
I've never tried taking photos with a phone but guess it isn't easy, even with my iPad or a good camera it can really be hit & miss, they move so fast you just have to keep taking shots until eventually you get the odd good one!
Bribery can work wonders though, if you get ready to take the shot then give them a treat, something they really can't resist you stand a good chance of getting something better... with luck lol!

Re: Tips for taking pictures?
Mary and Ethel are fascinated by my phone, so if I try to get a close picture they come right up to it. It is cute that they will follow it everywhere, but it makes it difficult to distract them, even with treats! The robos are just so fast, I think videos are probably better. I want to buy a big frame and have pictures of them all in it in a collage. Maybe I'll just embrace my blurry pictures!!

I love those nose right up against the camera shots lol! I have a few & even though they're blurry I treasure them!

I'm the same, I cannot get Freya to sit still lol. I even try to bribe her with nice treats, but by the time my phones clicked the shutter, so to speak, she's moved again.
I am envious of people with their lovely cameras and photogenic hammies lol

Re: Tips for taking pictures?
My favourite picture of Ethel is actually this one. When he first had his hamster heaven he couldn't figure out how to use the slide so he would jump onto the hanging basket and swing, it was adorable!

Me too! Most pictures I get are a second after the perfect pose!!
I've just been looking through my camera role trying to find my favourites. My Gizmo (RIP ) was so photogenic, every single picture of him came out unique and cute!
