I actually have the plans for a cardboard pet coffin. It's simple to make. The one in your link, Serendipity, also looks really easy to make. I downloaded the picture of it. With my Dremel it would take no time at all. I know many people who keep the ashes of their pets, and others who bury them in pet cemeteries. I can see people buying one. The price is crazy though.

Dr.K. I've seen the cardboard pet coffin boxes on, Dr.Fostersmith. The price was reasonable, but it didn't get very good ratings from previous buyers. The complaint was, it was thin cardboard, and flimsy.

It's actually something that would be good to have on hand.. well, something that you would like your pet to be buried in, if you decide to bury your pet. I mean, when my hams passed, I was not prepared, and was not in my normal state of mind, to search for a box.

OUCH!! That's pretty expensive for the pet coffin.

Because I share a back green with my neighbours, I wouldn't feel happy about burying mine there. I remember seeing DrK's plant pots that he used and so liked that idea. I've got to settle for cremation. The ground floor flats have a front garden bit each, but I've never been keen on the ground floor!

Hi, sorry to add to the morbid theme but wanted to add that Hobbycraft do perfect little boxes if you don't want to fork out for custom made coffins. My OH spotted them when we were there looking for dowling pieces & other bits to make hammy toys. We had not long lost our WW & had also scrabbled around for something suitable to bury him in. So we were really pleased to have spotted the boxes at Hobbycraft, there are 2 sizes, large & small which are just right for Syrians & dwarves. The little one has sweet decorative patterns on it. I'm guessing they're little trinket boxes or maybe pencil boxes.
At a couple £ much better & practical than the costly Amazon alternatives! They are cardboard but very strong, stronger than your standard package cardboard if that makes sense?
Would post pics but probably not the right thread & already feel bad for hijacking the cute swing topic as it is! sorry Teddy!
Hope this doesn't come across insensitive, touch wood our hammies have healthy happy lives but as someone who's recently been thru sudden losses thought this info might help.
Loving the swing Teddy, good find!
