So, Daisy has been home since Monday evening now! I haven't attempted any taming or such yet. I give her monkey nuts which she takes off me and I put some seeds on my hand yesterday (put a sock on my hand, I'm a wuss!), she was less bothered about the seeds and more interesting in slightly nipping at the sock (I think she was more interesting in what the sock was, it didn't seem aggressive!).
She's currently on the dining table in the living room and I have been keeping the cat (Noel) away from her although he was awfully good with our rats. Yesterday I let Noel in to get a feel for her presence and he sat in front of the cage (almost guarding!), she carried on about her business and even up UP TO him! He was asleep on top of the cage and she went into the hammock that shes never used before and stood on her back legs to get really close to him.
Note: I never have and never will leave Noel unsupervised around any of our current or previous small animals!
It's just mad how she's not even slightly bothered by him. She doesn't mind noise and when I speak to her through the cage she either comes up to the front or goes about her business. She doesn't even run from my hand in the cage, she comes upto it
Going to have a sesh in the bath with her tonight, our first one! So wish me luck!
