Re: Hamsters go on a date
Cute though it is I found this very worrying. Both hamsters appear to be mature males and placed so near to each other in the boat and at the table it could have ended in a Valentines day massacre! My main concern is that people may attempt to try this out with their own hamsters at home ending in a fight!
It should have a 'do not try this at home' before the video!

Oh they are both males - I didn't notice that. I did wonder about having two syrians in close proximity. You are right it should have a warning with it.

I was worried when I saw that video too. A lot of people will think it's cute, I just hope that no one tries to recreate it themselves.

Re: Hamsters go on a date
I agree that they shouldn't be together and I said so in the clip too. Whenever I see clips with more than one hamster in it, I wonder how many times they had to do it to get it right, and how many hamsters may have gotten hurt.

Re: Hamsters go on a date
There's no way that was done in one take.
A bit too close and same sexes.
It should have a warning not to try this.
A big risk for a minute long video.

Re: Hamsters go on a date
That's adorable, but I wish that the guy could've done it with a pair of dwarves who live together.

Re: Hamsters go on a date
Yes it would have been much better - but they probably wouldn't sit still long enough lol! I did have a moment of thinking - hmm two syrians in close proximity, is that safe? But I assumed they were his hamsters and he knew them and assumed they were one of each sex and about to get mated lol! Never assume eh! I suppose he could have filmed them separately but it definitely looked like there were two in the boat. They seemed happy enough but then it has probably been edited. He should definitely have a warning on there 'never put two syrians together - this has been edited'. Like I put a warning on my bath playtime video 'never let hamsters get wet - use a dry bath'.

Re: Hamsters go on a date
Yeah, cute video, but putting 2 adult hamsters together was a huge risk.
