Wink Hamster racing....

lol know title is somewhat missleading but it is what we were feeling was going on between two of our most active wheel members here. my winter white KitKat and Skittles my syrian's cages are next to eachother this week and they decided that they would have a freindly "i can run faster than you at 3 am" contest. normally their wheels are quiet and not wanting to take them out since all 6 have wheels its not a big deal...but they were making more noise than all the others including the ROBOS ..... sigh so we had some pouting as i pulled the wheels for a few hrs. now they seem to have got that doing back flips is not ok at 3 am lol back to semi silent wheels as they run at night now. they just went nuts stop look over at other cage meet eyes and bam they were off. wish at 3 am would have thought to tape it but we were exausted lol ....they were not happy as they sat at edge and stared at us for bit and huffed off but after a day of being ticked at us and now that wheel was put back in that am at 5 they just decided they could be friends again ..ahhh joys of hamster owning...odd that the boy and girl went crazy...my male syrian Midnight does not like his wheel, M&M's love theirs well what robo does not, Twix loves his even injured he runs some. so the two wheel obsessed ones are now calmed down

That sounds so funny, kitkat and skittles sound like they enjoyed it. Reminds me of my 2 having a competition on who could be the loudest.
I think the reason for their wheels making a lot of noise is down to them being heavy footed, usually hams are light footed but when it comes to wanting to go faster and faster their feet hit harder and the noise starts.

Your hamster names are making me hungry lol!

When I saw the thread title I could just image hammies in race overalls climbing into little race cars (I'm a big F1 fan).
