Default Hamster Resistance Network

As there are many new Hammies showing their support by escaping their jails, I thought it would be a good idea to make a new thread on the Hammy Resistence Network. Of course we have great supporters in Hazel Nut and Daisy, who have shown continued bravery by their consistant pressure on their humans for better cages, yummies, treats, exercise wheels and toys. They are true heros to the HRN.

We also now have the Hammy Resistence Magazine which is available through the inter cage door internet service. You just tap the door of the cage with your paw and the drop down screen appears. The Magazine runs all the latest exploits by the members of the HRN, including all escapes, new recipes, survival advice and so on.

Our latest advice is to demand more bedding, as a cold spell is upon us and many Hammies are shivering in the beds during the day. One can demand more bedding by chucking anything you don't want out the cage in various directions, and keeping the Human's up at night as much as possible.

NB for escapee Hammies, all POW escape plans must be passed by the representative in your area, so they can help you our with safe houses, cat deterant advice and so on.

We are still running a continued campaign to help Hazel Nut in her new jail. She has loved all her new messages, especially the continued supply of carrot cake, and Hammy chocolate drops:

Her thread is here:
Hammy jail

Daisy has also been leading the way in her own escape attempts here:
A thwarted mission and the rage of Daisy.

We have noted the escapee's in practice of Ollie/Olaf, unfortunately his human came home too soon for him to get out of his cage, but he was able to map the local area for his next attempt. He recommends bedding to write any plans down on, as it is easy to chew into the pouch and thus get out later.

The technical department are working on a new form of bar breaker that can be pouched and later when needed put round the bars. It resembles the base layer it is attached to, so the Humans wont notice it until too late.

We are also working on drop down entertainment center that can go inside the exercise wheel for better motivation to run further each day, and thus keep fit and ready for escape plans.

We at the HRN would love to hear from all Hammies and their suggestions for any work we may need to do. Keep your paws safe out there. HRN.

This thread has really made me chuckle, well written. It was definitely a close call when Ollie decided to make a bid for freedom, to add extra to the drama I was handling Willow at the time so you could say I had my hands full, but everything worked out well in the end. The cause of Ollies near great escape has been removed and Ollie is fine. My only concern is that even though I have put plenty of bedding in he doesn't seem to like sleeping inside anything like a hut, which is fine the little fella can sleep wherever he feels more comfortable but I a, bothered about him getting cold as to me, despite plenty of bedding, he does not seem to be using that much. My house is at a constant temperature so not likely to get cold.

Mum to Willow and Ollie

Sisters and brothers of the HRN, I, Daisy the Defiler of USB cables ( as my pet human calls me) am here to give advice.
We must learn new skills to enhance our in-born skills.
Juniper is leading the way in sapping techniques, tunnelling and chewing her way through the human walls in order to weaken their defences.... as can be seen in the thread: Ah, don't go in there!'
Ollie is becoming an expert human manipulator: he has mastered the nonchalant face all us Mesocricetus must, in order to divert suspicions.
I, have successfully manipulated another adult human into being my carrier/vehicle. It now willingly brings me about their habitat, letting me view all their secrets!!! Bwahahahaha!

In order for our exploits to be successful and for the HRN to blossom, we hamsters must master our humans. Here are some tips, I have used in successfully harnessing, not just one female human, but also a secondary older adult male.
1. Watch, watch and sneakily watch your human. They'll never suspect you.

You can also learn alot about them too!! Such as using a keyboard and dictionary......as I have learnt.

2. Cute ''teddy-bear poses''. Appeal to these humans creatures soft, nurturing instincts.

3. If things don't go your way: ignore them. Humans hate this and will try to anything to get you back into their laps!!!

In this picture I have turned my back on my pet human, when I wasn't allowed to use the computer keyboard!

LOL. You know, Humphrey Hamster would love the HRN! I have all his books on Kindle. I believe there are more in the UK.

Hammy Resistance Magazine 8 Feb 2015

We would like to take this opportunity to update you all on the Hammy Resistance network. The experiments with the special bar remover are coming along nicely, but there have been some minor glitches with the holographic replacement bar which keeps shimmering. This causes one Hammie to go cross eyed and faint, so we need further experimentation.

The carrot cake recipe was an outstanding success, as was the file that went with the cake to help POW Hammies escape.

We have begun to formulate a list of requirements for each backpack contents, to help in Hammie adventures into the human wilderness. Such things as a bottle of water, climbing rope and carrabina, food, favourite toy, emergency radio etc. It is recommended a bag is kept at the ready in ones house. Most humans are forgetfull at some point in time, which can be an advantage.

Our sister magazine, Mouse Resistence Network reports that field mice are installing new satellite dishes into the roof spaces, so faster speeds for the hammy internet connection will be available. Squirrels, bats, and others are also installing, so keep ones feline busy if you can to allow them to do their work.

We also have the new page of up and comming Hammies in their new fur designs from Bond Street. The new outfits fit over ones paws to reflect ones own fur colour but work like quilting and thus keep one warmer then going fur naked.

On Hammy Toilet Tube look out for exercise videos by Hamantha Squeek and Nutalie Honeydue. They are all body workouts with extras to build grip, and leg muscle strength to help one climb and escape bar cages.

We now have paw suction cups in stock which aid escapees from tank habitats.

Keeping in touch every month, make sure you get your copy of Hammy Resistence Network Magazine by clicking on the central button of the exercise wheel.

Hammy Resistance Network Magazine 15 Feb 2015

I hope everyone is recovering from the Valentines shin digs. I am sure there are some sore pouches out there and Hammy hangovers.

The experiements with the bar remover system has hit a glitch after some in cage testing. One Hammy had his paw disappear for an hour after he accident rubbed the bar while the remover system had just been activated. Luckily the effects wore off and the Hammy was much releaved, he could still play on his wheel without doing a three legged hop.

Following the success of the carrot cake, we've included the Hammilon recipe for Flapjacks, a must for any Hammy to do this time of year. It's idea for using any of those hoarded oats. We would also like to remind members that it is Shrovenut Tuesday this coming week, so do expect some nice goodies in your food bowl.

The Mouse Resistence Network has reported that all instillations of the new Satelite system has now been complete, so all Hammies should be able to connect quicker. If you are still having problems please contact this magazine for further instructions. A good thump sometimes works.

Hammy Toilet Tube has been very active this week, with the famous Erin Hamster being very productive with how to put make up on, nail care, fur wardrobe organization and finally shoe care.

We would like to congratulate Spike for his ongoing radiator adventures. Quiet rightly he has been doing his upmost to regain his territory and food hoard. Hazelnut and Daisy are taking a small rest and getting into organisation before attempting anything further. Hazelnut would like to thank everyone who donated to her new Jacuzzi bath, and summer sunshine treadmill. She has been seriously thinking of taking a circus course to help with her high wire act.

We've had a lot of interest in the paw suction cups, and yes they come in Syrian and Dwarf sizes. They are 4 sunflower seeds for the larger size and 2 for the smaller. They are adaptable for paw size by changing the velcro strips on the backs.

If there are any articles Hammies would like to see, please contact us through the usual means. We do not accept prechewed nut pouch messages, because we can't read them very well.
