hamster species/coats

Hi there, I have see you have a sub forum listing the various types of hamsters. In each section would it be possible to catalogue the various coats and patterns with names.
I've always just stuck to basics, golden, cinnamon, long hair etc , however on here I see people talking about melanistic yellows, tortoise etc

Does anyone think it would be nice to make a thread with good photos showing the variations, along with information such as parents, what the siblings turned out like, genetic problems etc

If there is such a thread I apologise, I never seen them.

I agree that could be interesting but its quite difficult to get good examples of all of the possible coat variations at times. This page shows quite a few of the syrian ones though Syrian
