I'm not sure about compatibility but I wouldn't use any of them for a syrian - they aren't big enough. I just have a 7cm diameter cardboard tube in the cage. Should be ok for a dwarf though and you could maybe tape joints if they don't fit. (Masking tape is strong)
I have 2 hamsters and 1 has a huge cage which uses crittertrail tunnels and my other hamster has a smaller cage, which I am looking to extend very soon. Both of my hamsters are syrians and they have plenty of room when running through the tunnels. My brother also has the same cage as one of my hamsters and his hamster is much bigger than my two and he can also fit through the tunnels.
