Mini Amazon Haul!

I got a few pet items in from Amazon today, so I thought I'd share these items are all intended for my Robo, Lucy.

First is a 6.5 inch silent spinner from Kaytee. It was almost half the cost to order it from amazon instead of buying it from a pet shop! The color was randomized, but I was really hoping for red, and I got red! It seems rather rattley though, when I spin it. Is there a way to tighten it or take it apart to get a look? I'm not completely sure if I'm gonna put this in her cage right away, as she really loves her flying saucer. Maybe I'll keep both wheels in? TBD. Update: I figure out how to unscrew it and had a look at the spinning mechanism, but nothing looked wrong. I put it back together and it's still a little clunky, maybe with Lucy's weight in it it'll spin a bit more smoothly...

Next is a rainbow bendy bridge from Super Pet. I got this to replace the natural colored bendy bridge that's in her cage currently, as I was wanting to do a sort of 'rainbow theme' in her tank. But as she's nested in the natural bridge maybe I won't right away xD ah well. I had to order this online because the pet shops only had the 'guinea pig' sized one, which I have in Margo's cage, but I really wanted the small one for Lucy.

And last is a ceramic water bottle holder from Alfie. This thing is so cute! It's much smaller than I thought: only four inches tall without the bottle, and the hole in the side (meant to be a hidey hole) is only 1.5 inches across at the widest point. Would be great for mice, and Lucy's so small I'm not worried, but anything bigger I would be concerned about getting stuck, so I won't be getting one for Margo's cage, though it might be useful in a playpen situation it came with an 80ml bottle. I'm hoping my 4oz petco bottles will fit in it: I THINK they will, but won't know for sure until I get home.

I also ordered a second chinchilla chiller (by Kaytee) for Lucy's tank, but it's being delivered separately.

Very nice. I love ordering things online then getting all excited waiting for it to be delivered, then ripping open the box like its christmas, and sitting there for ages playing with toys meant for hamsters...

Or is that just me.........

It's not just you.... Bendy bridges are too fun to play with!

(Would it be crazy to construct a human-sized bendy bridge and put a mattress under it to sleep in?)

Not crazy. I would SO buy one. Or 3.... My 2 little boys would LOVE one!

I havent even got my hamster yet and ive been doing so much ordering for him! Not to mention how many times i keep moving the kitchen bar stool into the front room so i can sit directly in front of the empty viv and imagine what its going to look like, where im going to place everything etc......

Thanks Willow Wisp. that's literally the only ceramic bottle holder I could find online, and once I saw it I had to have it. I thought I was going to have to make one! I was a bit expensive though, about $15. I think it was worth it tho.

Ohhhhhh love ordering things online and getting to open them all. Love the water bottle holder might go on the hunt for one because I constantly break the plastic ones!

If anyone was wondering: the bottle holder does fit a 4 oz petco bottle, but not very well, the end if the spout was barely 1cm above the floor. So I'm using the 80ml bottle that came with it. Does anyone know where I can buy similar bottles in the US? It looks like the bottles I've seen from UK websites, but I can't find any that will ship here

Yay, hamster shopping is fun! Congrats on the red too. I always worry I am going to get purple. lol I hate purple but put up with it if I get it. I bought some more Guinea Pig hideouts cause Wicket really loves his, and I got two teal and 1 purple. The website (Fosters) only shows those two colors though so that might be the only choices.

I'm not sure about the water bottle, sorry. The 4oz Bell Bottles don't fit at all in the Petco ceramic holder I have.

I've put both the silent spinner and the flying saucer in the tank, and if she shows preference for one over the other I'll take the other out. Now we play the waiting game >=)

Thanks Esmy idk why, I just really wanted a red one. Usually I prefer purples and blues
