Red face Ferplast Sippy Bottle any good? Detolf cage

Hey all,

I'm getting a detolf on Sunday and I'm looking for a bottle quickly.
The only bottle that I have found in a store (United Kindom) that would work with the cage
Sippy Bottle | Pets At Home

The bottle comes with suckers to stick to the glass.
I'm worried cause the drip points down insted of at an angle.

Does anyone recommend this bottle and do you recommend any other bottles? (that would work on Detolf) or mods

Thanks

I don`t like these bottles. In a glass tank, you can do a number of things. Use a plain `Classic` water bottle and use a wire bird peanut holder to use as a stand. These are cheap in Poundland or Poundstratchers. Or use an old round fairy liquid bottle, cut the top of, make a hole for the bottle spout (measure where the spout will come out first) and fill the base with sand to weight it down. You can then stand it in a corner of the cage.

Velcro is also good but Velcro makes a noise when you need to remove the bottle to refill it. Making a solid water bottle stand inside the cage is a good way of ensuring a water source. You could also supply a shallow ceramic water bowl/dish on a shelf inside the cage as well.

Hope this helps.

Here you go: How to make a hamster water bottle holder for free! - YouTube

A nice cheap way to make a bottle stand once it is weighed down with either sand or small pebbles.

My Hammy has one of those sippy bottles in her tank... and while it's not my favourite bottle in the world, she seems to manage with it pretty well. It's easy to slip out of the cage/tank when u need to refill.

However, mine uses the sticking out arm as a climbing pole... and she climbs up, and gets on top of the bottle... :P she waits there for me to pick her up for playtime lol or just so she can jump to her hammock...

I don't know if you have this option where you are, but I have a bottle holder attached to my tanks and bins with velcro, and the bottle slides out effortlessly for filling and cleaning, and the holder stays put. I love it!

Amazon.co.uk sell those metal bottle hangers cheap, so you may want to get one. They are great for tank environments.
