Re: is she a he???
Males tend to be calmer and friendlier as far as I've seen.

Re: is she a he???
I agree, from those pics Ploppy does seem to have acquired some wee hammy nuggets down there. :L
I don't think there is much difference. You may notice a stronger smell, as boys have a more active scent gland. Which also means they do get a bit of a greasy belly, and his wheel and the rim of his bowl may feel waxy where his belly has rubbed against it.
I wash both of these for my boy every now and again, because they get a bit gross.
Other than that, I think there is little difference. Males may tend to be a little more docile, but then I've known some pretty crazy dwarfie boys so that really depends on the ham!

Re: is she a he???
We don't really find a difference between our male and female dwarf hams
We've got four hybrids at the moment, two male and two female and all four have very similar characters when being handled (the girls are a bit more independant with each other but the boys are an exceptionally close pair so I'm not sure they're a fair example to be honest).

Re: is she a he???
it is easy to get the wrong sex from a store bought hamster and not a personal owner i know from experience my golden syrian teddy was told to us that she was a he as well as they had her type wrong, said she was a fancy hamster and then rung us up cause we liked her calm nature and color and find out its a golden lol i should post pic cause she has perfect nipple spots on both sides of her belly in a perfect line! so silly to make mistake
