Question Trying to bite?

Just thinking, I've had Ploppy my new dwarf for, I don't know, nearly 2 days?and so far she seems quite calm and friendly.
I haven't attempted to pick her up or stick my hands around the cage but she will take food out of my hands quite happily. Anyway, she occasionally has a moment, if I put my finger on the outside of the cage she seems to launch herself at it and I'm not sure if shes trying to bite me or if its just her general reaction to my hand?
I'm not used to biting hamsters, my syrian has never even attempted to bite me!
I don't know if I'm scaring her or being too forceful?

If you're just extending one finger it could be that she's expecting it to be food or something invading her territory that needs scaring off. I notice Freya reacts to fast movements and noises. Sometimes to things I don't even notice. I get nibbled if I smell tasty lol. I've learnt to wash my hands after giving her a mealworm very quickly.

I did wonder if maybe she thought it was food but its a funny reaction, its literally like a quick jolt but then she doesn't run away?
haha my Harry tends to think fingers are food
