Question To swap or not to swap...that is the question!

So, my pretty little Pippa has no problem climbing all over me once she's out of the cage.

BUT... she's still very nervous about my hands (in an out of her cage) and being held....especially when she's in her cage. She still sometimes runs and hides when I just talk to her. I have to use a snuggle sack to get her out of her cage. So I need some advice please...

Do I leave her along in her Billy cage (360 sq in with a top opening) and trust in patience and the taming process...

OR do I swap her to a bin cage that has a front door opening (like a 64L Really Useful box 483 sq in)?

Wow great set up. I would say trying to tame her in that cage is probably going to stress her out more and take ages as she's got so much space to run and hide. lovely space for when she's settled though

I'd swap and see how it goes

Thanks for the advice kryill. I'm still on the fence, but I guess I could always move her back if it doesn't work! . I do love building bin cages lol

Thanks for the nice words about her set up. That cage is only 30"x12"....do you think she should be in something smaller until she is tame?

I reckon something a bit less cluttered just for a bit while she's getting used to you. It should only take a few handlings and treat bribes to be your friend and know what you're about then just the sound of your voice should be good enough for her to come out
