I want more!
I have only had Charlie for two weeks now but I already want to have more hamsters! I'm not allowed any more though All you people that have like 3, 4 even 5+ hamsters are so damn lucky! :P I'd love to have at least a couple more cages in my room xo

Re: I want more!
lol I think we know we're lucky
If you wait long enough and are patient and stuff you might be able to get your parents (or partner or landlord... whoevers stopping you) to come around to the idea a second hamster eventually...

Re: I want more!
I know that feeling! I started with one for company and it gradually worked it's way up to five. Takes two hours to do full cleans on them all so for now I'm settled on 5, that and there's no more room for cages or I know I'd totally fall in love with a little fluffball up for adoption.

You are absolutely right. We are so very lucky. At some point you'll be able to do that too. For now, just love Charlie to bits. Just like a single child, a single ham has benefits too. Charlie gets all of your love and is center stage! Now how lucky is Charlie?

Yeah it's my parents They've always said no to me getting a hamster. I got two robo's about a year ago and kept them at my boyfriend's house and then one died and the other eventually ended up back at my house :P Then he died and they didn't stop me getting another one, after years of saying no. But I can't have any more :/ I couldn't go mad and have like 5 more or anything anyway because of space. But I could at least squeeze another one or two in xo

There is a little robo up for adoption on preloved or gumtree, something like that and he's so gorgeous. He's been on the site for a while now, the owner wants to get rid due to her dog having puppies. £25 for him and the cage which isn't bad. I love all the adoption hamsters in pets at home too. That's the only downside to getting more hamsters though, the cage cleaning. I understand it has to be done but I just don't know if I have the patience to be cleaning for two hours :P xo

Haha, you have parents that give in very easily :P Wish mine were like that! Been asking for a hamster for years and it was always a no. I can't keep another one at my boyfriend's and sneak it back here because we have a fish tank there now so. I wanted another cat and kept showing mum pictures of cats in the RSPCA for ages and it was always a no. They just really won't give in at all, to anything lol xo

Re: I want more!
I could never have just one, I love them all so much I'd find it too impossible to choose which type to have! That's why I designed the shed to only house 8 cages, so I can't be tempted to buy any more . Though having said that, if a white Chinese was available I'd magically find some space
But, I now have an actual argument for having them, rather than just I like them. I've discovered that after spending work times with dogs, they make a wonderful distraction, something totally different to come home to and concentrate my mind on. I just go out to the shed, stick some music on, get them out one at a time and let the world and its issues fade away outside, its very therapeutic .

That's very true! Just working on taming him at the moment. He's bitten me twice but only a gentle bite, nothing serious. He's very nervous though. He gets scared really easily and if I move my hand too fast or something he jumps in the air xo
