What a lovely outcome for both you and your new little robo family. I do hope in time they accept each other and may form a bond and live together. They are both beautiful

Great story and Petunia T Ham was just wonderful. in the second photo I just adore how she is a complete round ball...just adorable. At their young ages, this is a good time to see if they will be okay together. I think a certain amount of "pinning", squeaking, and paw slapping is pretty much par for the course. It's pretty much a given that there will be some spats until they determine who's the big boss. I took racing hamsters advice when I got them and took everything except their two wheels, a couple of toilet paper rolls, their food and their water out of the cage. At first they slept in different places in the cage. I have since put their house back and they have decided to share it as the weather has cooled. I haven't heard any spats in a while now and they both look bright eyed and happy. Good luck with your two. I really hope they become a happy pair

Just be aware that they are not related and were not brought up together. You might get lucky and they will get on, but it can be a volatile time for them. If they don`t settle with initial introductions, I wouldn`t persevere if they and you are happy to house them in their own habitats and give them both equal attention when they re fully awake. Robos generally do their own thing if they have a large enough cage, but if your robos don`t need chased around to be caught or persuaded to come out, then a short play pen run around is fine. But they don`t rush for human attention if they have space to run around. x

Thank you everyone! Yes, when they're put into their huge playpen, I can tell Pumpkin tries to be dominant, even in the neutral territory. They both look like they're ready to start boxing! We never let it get that far though, I'm too afraid of one of them getting injured.

When they're in the tank with the split screen, they sniff each other on occasion, but not as much as you might imagine. Right now we're just making sure they become acquainted with each other's scents. I'm not sure when would be the right time to completely remove the screen (if at all), but I'm waiting for some signs of civility between the two. Either way I know they both love their new "apartments" full of toys and treats!
