Question Finding the right breeder

Hey guys!

Lately I've been putting some thought into getting a new hamster. Obviously that will be a little while from now since I already have seven, but still. I don't really know where to look, so l have been just skimming and searching the net for breeders, but l can't find any! And its not for lack of trying. Pretty much two hours every day has been devoted to this search for the past four months. Can any body help me out? I live in south east Idaho in the USA, and I can't really travel that far but I figure its worth a shot right?

Thanks in advance!

I am on the same boat. I found one that seems legit FURBALL CRITTERS, Non-Biting Hamsters & Rats| Santa Cruz, CA
She sells stocks to some stores so i am not sure. One of the stores I know
(a independent one) well, they have an excellent reputation, their cages are always clean, the animals have a variety of food etc. When you go there there are always employees that are super knowledgeable of their animals. So I am thinking she is ok.
I hope she is not a hamster mill because she has a female long hair Syrian that I really want and she is 1 1/2 from my house.

Hi. No I am not a "hamster mill". I am a serious hobby breeder who loves my little fuzzy animals. I do not make a profit from my animals. I just breed them because I enjoy them. I don't breed indiscriminately. I have nice animals because I started with show quality dwarf hamsters about 20 years ago. I don't show anymore because our old club, Rat Mouse and Hamster Fanciers has disbanded, not enough interest anymore. I am the only one left from that club who is still breeding.

Anyway, I don't breed for quantity, only quality (pet quality).
