Default Throwing her bottle out

Any advice would be very useful on the following......
Lilbear has started to throw her bottle out. It is attached to the side of the cage and she has started to chew the spout initially, although it has now become chew the spout until she gets it turned round and then push the spout back through the bars, so the bottle is effectively sitting loose which she eventually pushes out completely so it ends up on the floor.

I have two thoughts.
1 she thinks it very funny to annoy me with the constant pushing out and me picking it up.
2 that she wants it out the way so she can chew the bars. She has turned into a bit of a bar chewing monster!

Any advice on what I can do to stop her? I don't want to change cages as she appears to like the climbing that she can do in the cambridge...and I really dislike plastic cages as i find you can't interact as well. But the bottle trick is becoming a little tiresome and I am worried that she isn't getting enough water when she is awake as i have no idea when the bottle is discarded once I have gone to my bed.....

I have told her she needs to behave but its not working...... grrrr

You could get a bottle with a hole on the top so you can hang it from the roof of the cage. Mine don't seem to chew bottles hanging from the roof. As long as it is above her shelf it should be fine.

Maybe you could put a backup bowl of water in as well as the bottle. Also get two paper clips and hook them on to the bars near the spour of the bottle then thread an elastc band through them both and wind round the bottle so it holds the spout tight against the bars. She should have difficulty pushing it out then. She may decide to chew it though instead. If she persists I would use a small pottery bowl for a few weeks then try the bottle back again. She may have forgotten about it by then. She sure is a minx is Lilbear

how about trying a different style of bottle, such as the Sippy? the way these attach to the cage should mean that they can't be pushed out.

Sippies are rubbish - they leak everywhere and fall down (in my experience) and they're quite expensive.

Thanks for your thoughts. I'm not going to try a sippy - I have one on fuzee fi's cage and I hate it so much. I put the bottle up higher last night and it was still attached this morning although a little more chewed up
she sure is a challenging little thing.
