I'll be completely honest... I had no idea what the difference was between them both. So I googled it!

I have a Syrian hamster (I think he is a roan... but I'll need that clarified by someone!) called Alfred Pennyworth. Alfred for short!!

I love his name! Reminds me of my sisters Syrian! He's called Lemony Snicket!

They are gorgeous!!! I did a lot of research before getting mine and I've had mice most of my life so am used to tiny pets but nothing prepared me for how tiny and speedy Sheldon is haha. I've only had him for just under 3 weeks and I held him for the first time yesterday. It wasn't through his choice really though, he was running around his cage whilst I was half cleaning and ran up my sleeve by mistake. Apparently they are the hardest hams to tame but even just having them to watch and admire is nice

What a great name for a hammy!! :')

If I ever get my dwarf hammies in the summer, I will be calling one Sherlock Holmes and another John Watson!

I have a black and white female syrian hamster named Woolley, which was her name at the RSPCA, it ended up sticking
Her age isn't for sure, but going off the age the RSPCA guessed she was when they got her, she's about 8-ish months now.

I'm definitely thinking of getting some. I'm gonna have a good look on the net. It won't be until May/June when I get some though. I've already got the names planned and everything
