Nelson went to his second show on Saturday! It was the Northern Hamster Club at Emley Agricultural Show. It was great fun as there were lots of other things to see and do. We were busy in the hamster tent as we were pen steward and book steward and as the tent was very popular with the public we had a lot of chatting to do, telling them about the colours and types! The judges were great and told us all about how to judge each hamster so we are learning fast!
Nelson did well and got another second in the creams! He also came second in novice and we think we may have found a wife for him, maybe a cinny satin in September, fingers crossed as they are not born yet!
I(PH junior) also entered my sig pic in the pet portrait photography section and got a third against all the adults! PH senior got a 4rth for her watercolour of a hamster and a second for her scones!!!
Here is Nelson at the show.
For those of you who don't go to ham shows, here is an idea of what it is like.
