Smile Hamster toilets

Does anyone actually use a hamster potty? I've been tempted to get one for Wolverine (my syrian) but I'm not too sure.

Any reviews, recommendations would be great!

Thank you,

Of all my hamsters, only Storm has a potty (one of those corner ones) which I gave him as he would pee out of the bars and down the wall! I use kids' play sand in it (which I buy for the robos' and Chinese's sand baths) rather than potty litter.

i don't use an actual hamster potty but my ham does use his sand pit as his toilet, makes spot cleaning a hell of a lot easier

I wait to see which corner they prefer to use and put in a cage litter tray corner like this one:
Corner Litter Tray Rabbit Ferret Savic Rody Toilet: Amazon.co.uk: Pet Supplies

It's rather large though and I've found only one type of 'toilet corner' fits my cage properly (to do with the height of the base and the way the bars fit onto it).

I put it directly into the base of the cage and then fill the whole base with substrate so that the toilet is relatively hidden. It means I can take the corner out and change it more regularly than the rest of the cage. One of my hamsters liked it so much he moved his bed into it which was not particularly helpful!

Thank you for your replies guys! I just don't know whether to get Wolverine one! Because he just has a wee wherever he likes. I might get one though and see what happens!

I use loaf baking tins (£2 from Tesco) and fill them with chinchilla sand and all my hamsters use them as their toilet.

I did, for both my hamsters. One had the blue Savic one that's curved, the other had the green one. Once they were potty trained and got use to using litter/sand, I switched them to larger plastic containers (one ice-cream tub and one tupperware). Good thing is that now they're used to it, they'll pee in the containers even if they don't fit into the corner exactly. It's very handy as I only need to change the potty every couple of days and the cage remains fairly clean with spot cleans.
