Re: Ripped up/cut up toilet roll
As long as it isn't coloured. The plain white is what we use for our hams They like to rip it up themselves!!

Re: Ripped up/cut up toilet roll
You should try giving it to them unripped, all of mine start to shred it and nest with it themselves keeps them entertained

Re: Ripped up/cut up toilet roll
I bought that P@H tissue bedding for my new Chinese ham as all we have is the scented toilet roll, but I was surprised at how hard it is! Joey hasn't taken any in to his nest and is happy with just the Carefresh. I'll get some unscented loo roll in the next shopping!

Re: Ripped up/cut up toilet roll
Mine all get ripped up toilet roll (andrex) and they make lovely snuggly nests with it.

Re: Ripped up/cut up toilet roll
Toilet paper is a great nesting material for hamsters, but it must be non-colored, non-scented, and nothing printed on it as many inks are poisonous and your hammie will be putting it in their mouths a lot.

Re: Ripped up/cut up toilet roll
I gave Bear big strips of toilet roll and put them on the shelf of the Alaska, its so cute watching him pick the pieces up in his mouth and wonder down to his nest with them
