Default From a distance...

Yes best to avoid pet stores just yet as there will be a little pair of eyes staring up at you and then that is you - the chosen one...

Have you found any rescues centres with hamsters close enough for when the time does come?

well I'm going to give the Stubbington Ark (RSPCA) a call at some point nearer, I will either hitch a lift somehow or catch a few busses

either way I will get there

There are no other rescues apart from the one given to me by someone (sorry can't remember the name of the rescue) (and the distance is about the same) and as I have 3 RSPCA pets as it is... may as well try them out.

either way wish me luck

For rescue hamsters, try these links too

The RSPCA may be able to put you in touch with a local small animal rescue if they don't have hammies themselves.

It's also worth contacting the South of England Hamster Club and the Southern Hamster Club for breeders in your area or for any rescues that they may know of, and Towy Vale Hamstery who run a national hamster rescue list.

I know there have been some big hamster rescues recently so the hammies are out there, it's just a matter of whether you can get to them.
