Talking Rescuing Four Robos!

This is attempt number... I forget, it's been so many... to rescue a hamster. And this time it's not just A hamster, but FOUR! Four little Robos to be exact, which would bring my count up to six Robos if this works out.

I was surfing CraigsList, I know I shouldn't but there just isn't many hamsters up for adoption on PetFinder and such in my area, when I found this add about four little male Robos needing a new home. They are about 6 months old, been together since birth and have had no fighting. Here's the link: Baby Dwarf Hamsters

I've been emailing the owner and she has already gotten offers by people to take individuals, but she wants them to go to a safe home together. I think she is highly considering me as I want to take the four, told her I own two Robos for over a year, and that I will spoil them rotten.

And another thing I shouldn't do, I've already thought up names for them! Marry, Pippin, Rand, and Matrim. Marry and Pippin are of course from Lord of the Rings, but Rand and Matrim are two characters from the Wheel of Time series.

I can't wait to hear back from her and find out if I can take them! :3

Awww lovely, they are are Agouti's carrying husky, and looks like one little husky there. Six months is good without any fights, but not quite out of the woods yet, as ever with robos be prepared and equipped to house all separately if it should come to it. I hope you have good news soon

So, the owner picked me! ^^ Now I'm just talking with mom about what days we can pick them up and I'm getting together all my extra hamster stuff in preparation. I also still need to pick up a nice sized storage bin and make it into a bin cage.

All in all, this is going good. Hopefully mom won't bail on me again.

One big bit of advice - make sure you have three spare cages ready too. There's no guarantee they'll stay together and you need to be prepared for them all ending up single.

Good luck with them

So I never had to worry about my mom, it's my dad I have to worry about. He's been out right against me getting these little guys unless I pass my driver's permit test. I took the permit test today and failed, but I almost passed it. He's not home yet, so I haven't asked that since I've tried if I can still get them.

He also thinks I'm acting like a 14 year old, wanting these Robos. He just doesn't understand that one of the reasons I want these guys is to research Robo colony behavior for my book.
