Good luck! Totally excited for you! You're lucky to come across some like that. I had a difficult time finding my new Robos, I eventually caved and went to petco after finding none in local shelters.

Default Re: Rescuing Four Robos!

I have returned! Actually, I returned a little while ago, but I was finishing drilling holes in the bin top then admiring my beautiful boys. As you might have guessed, I was successful! I am now the proud owner of six Robos, two females and four males.

Do not worry, they will not be breeding as Charlotte and Scarlett are over a year old, plus my parents would never allow me to breed while in their house. Though I do wish to breed someday, that will be in the future when I've found breeders in the US (or the UK, if I decide to move over there) who would be willing to give me Robos to start off with.

Anyways, these guys are still roaming around, investigating their new 62.5 liter bin cage (I would have liked to get something bigger, but that was the biggest floor space without getting into under-the-bed or christmas tree storage bins. Plus I was working with a limited length in the spot the bin cage was going in.).

They are pretty docile and appear tame already. When I picked them up to transfer them from the carrier to the bin cage, they didn't squirm and when my sister picked up one, (she doesn't understand that they needed to settle in before being handled) he just calmly walked from hand to hand. I can't wait to handle these guys myself!

They do appear to be all agouti carrying husky, the one that looked like a husky in the picture wasn't. One is smaller than the rest, most likely the runt of the litter, but he doesn't seem to be picked on. There are two big fat ones, though apparently the fattest is called Louie as in Fat Louie, (none of the others were given names) but its hard to tell them apart. The fourth is average sized.

I haven't put the names I'm naming them to each hamster yet, but I'm thinking of naming the smallest Matrim, the average Rand, and the two fat ones Marry and Pippin.
