Default Might be rescuing!

I might be rescuing a LH Syrian! I found this add on CraigsList for a free friendly LH Syrian located at an Air Force Base and I'm allowed to inquire about him. The only problem is that the AFB is an hour and a half away and mom is not wanting to drive 3 hours round trip right now (she hurt her back last week). So I'm going to ask if they can meet us in the middle for me to pick him up.

Here's the add:

SMALL HAMSTER + 2 CAGES + MORE

I know! He's so gorgeous and looks so fluffy in that one pic!

I know I shouldn't, but I'm already thinking of names for him. I was thinking of naming him after an air force rank, like Captain or Major, in memory of coming from an air force base. And I know I shouldn't get my hopes up, but I can't help but picture him living with me. I always wanted a nice friendly and tame hamster.

I already got things all planned out. After getting him home, first thing I'll do is move him into a nice bin cage with Carefresh, so his fur won't get tangled. Switch him slowly over to Hazel Hamster and let him get used to me after he is settled. And proceed to spoil him rotten.

Of course you should plan
I know nothing is set in stone yet but at least you know you'll be prepared and if this hammy doesn't work out...well you'll be prepared for another potential rescue
Anyway what I really wanted to post and say was, awesome name choices It's really nice the reasoning behind it
Have you had a Syrian before?

Thanks. And that was just what I was thinking, if things don't work out I will be prepared for another potential hamster rescue.

No, I've never had a Syrian before. I started with Charlotte, my Head Spot Roborovski, and then got another Robo to keep her company.

I know, most people say to start with Syrians as they are slower, bigger, and easier to tame but I fell hard for the Robos and did my research before diving into Robo ownership. I've been researching Syrians lately, so I'm preparing myself for caring for a Syrian.

Honestly, I'm surprised my mom even let me ask about him. Hamster balls kinda of freak her out.

Haha awwwh well maybe, just maybe, she may end up caving and driving you all the way if they won't meet halfway
I love dwarf hams, especially robos and chinese but I've never had any. I'd love to some day though.
Syrians are awesome, definitely rewarding, I'm sure he'll have you wrapped around his little paws in no time He'll definitely make sure you know what he wants
I bet you can't wait to find out now xD
If it was me I wouldn't be able to concentrate on anything until I knew
