Is this cage ok?
I found a three story cage with an igloo, a ball, wheel and water bottle for 15 dollars. I thought it was nice for when I move Buttercup out of her broken cage (that has to be in a huge plastic bin) or put (if i do keep one) a baby that I keep in. But does it hurt there feet walking on the bars? Is this cage ok?

If there is any problem just try and find some cardboard and place it over the bars.

Its a lot, lot smaller than anyone on this forum would use I'm afraid. The wire platforms would also need to be covered with something to prevent bumblefoot.

It's much too small unfortunately and like others have said, the metal shelves are a big no-no xx

Echoing kyrilliondaemon and Hammymad. Your best bet is probably making a couple of bin cages

Re: Is this cage ok?
Yeah, I thought maybe the picture just made it look smaller or something XD
Ok, yeah, Ill just use bins (I have a ton anyway! but I was just worried they were too short. I could always just put a wood plank on top or something tho)

Re: Is this cage ok?
If you make sure they are of a suitable length then it'll be fine, and theres plenty of people on the forum who have made bin cages and will be able to help.

Re: Is this cage ok?
Hmm...the cage I have now is INSIDE a bin cage. I could probably just get stoppers and use the cage seperately and use the bin alone as another cage.
If I do use a water bowl they couldnt drown in it right? Thats what I was worried about.

Re: Is this cage ok?
hmm, well i'm not sure i've never had a litter before, i assume not if it was very shallow. There are ways of attaching a water bottle to a bin cage.
And makking sure the bin has a floor space of around 80x50cm, a wee bit smaller would be okay as well but i'd say no smaller than 75x40cm.

Not if you don't fill the bowl up too much. I've never had any problems with using a water bowl.
