Default Help! Taming Buttercup

Well ive had to pick her up a few times, hope thats okay. But I need help in taming her because whenever I try putting food in my hand instead of eating it she bites me! Also it hurts more then dwarf bites. Also I have a question. Can she roll in my dwarf hamster ball?

She may be biting because you smell tasty Where are you putting your hand? If you're sticking it in her cage with the treat she may see you as a threat as you're invading her territory.

Depends on the size of the ball - same as a wheel, a ball needs to be big enough so that they don't bend their backs (8inches minimum).

Why not take her out of her cage, say using a box, then taming her outside of her cage? The bathtub method seems to work well (sitting in an empty bathtub with the ham who can climb all over you).

If she's up and about the time doesn't really matter I wouldn't have thought.

No idea about dwarfs - I'd be terrified to squish one

LOL I did it with Luna a few times (didn't seem to make a difference with her as she was more or less tame at the time) and she kept climbing behind me. I was sooo scared I'd squish her!

I've never squished Darla the Robo in the bath. I'm more worried about him using me as a climbing frame out of the bath, though But it should work for your dwarfie.
