I'm a firm believer in the right cage for the right hamster. And yes some cages are smaller than the RSPCA guidelines, but no guidelines are going to tell me whats best for my babies
I gave Batman a ZZ2 and it just didn't suit him at all, hes much better in the imac criceti 16 x

A Savic Hamster heaven is also an option, its more expensive but looks great!!

I think I'm either going to mesh the ZZ1, or go for the Imac bingo which I think is reasonably big.

I personally think a Syrian will be happy in that size cage. I have a Syrian in one a similar size and he is very happy its better than what he is in anyway!
